Mrs. Lana obtained classical Russian education. She started to play piano at professional music school in Belarus at the age of six. Mrs. Lana earned the Bachelor of Music degrees in both Piano Performance and Pedagogy from State Music College, Belarus. Upon graduation she qualified as a piano soloist and piano instructor.
Mrs. Lana is a distinguished piano instructor with over 25 years of experience in teaching students of all ages and levels. Through her teaching career she has had talented students who have been prizewinners in State Piano Competition in Belarus. Two of her students had earned the Youth Scholarship from President of the Republic of Belarus Foundation.
After coming to the United States Mrs. Lana continues to teach privately. Mrs. Lana helps her students reach their goals, whether they are seriously pursuing their studies for entrance to the high level schools, or if they just want to play for their own interest and pleasure. A huge part of her teaching philosophy is to create an atmosphere which fosters love to music. She believes that every student has an ability to be successful in their music learning.
Mrs. Lana is a solo pianist and an accompanist. She participated at different churches as a guest pianist and performed with various chamber groups. She continues to perform classical music of all periods at different venues.
