Lana Segal
PIANO TEACHER
Mrs. Lana received a classical Russian education. She began playing piano at a professional music school in Belarus when she was six years old. Mrs. Lana earned Bachelor of Music degrees in both Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the State Music College in Belarus. Upon graduating, she qualified as a piano soloist and instructor.
Mrs. Lana is a renowned piano instructor with over 30 years of experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels. Throughout her teaching career, she has guided talented students who have won prizes in the State Piano Competition in Belarus. Two of her students received the Youth Scholarship from the President of the Republic of Belarus Foundation.
After moving to the United States, Mrs. Lana continues to teach privately. She assists her students in achieving their goals, whether they are seriously preparing for entrance into high-level schools or simply wish to play for their own enjoyment. A significant part of her teaching philosophy is to create an environment that nurtures a love for music. She believes that every student has the potential to succeed in their musical studies.
Mrs. Lana is both a solo pianist and an accompanist. She has participated as a guest pianist at various churches and performed with different chamber groups. She continues to perform classical music from all periods at various venues.
