Natalie Oliveri

PIANO TEACHER, VOCAL TEACHER


Born and raised in Chicago to a Colombian mother and Sicilian father, Natalie Oliveri began exploring and creating music through piano since the age of eight. She is a professional Soul singer-songwriter and recording artist with several years of experience teaching piano and voice in schools throughout the U.S as well as overseas. Natalie began studying classical piano & voice at Sherwood Conservatory of Music.  Her style eventually moved from Classical to Jazz when she studied voice with Jackie Allen (Jazz Blue Note Records Artist) and went onto performing professionally as a lead vocalist in Latin, Jazz , World and Soul R&b Bands. She has since worked with some of the most re-nowned Jazz Musicians and Soul Ensembles, has toured internationally representing her released originals and has had the honor of backing up Gloria Estefan as well as opening up for Grammy winning Soul artist "Estelle".


After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Music Business Management and Vocal Performance at Columbia College Chicago, Natalie released her first EP titled "Eclectic Soul" which became distributed by River City Music Co. in Japan . Her compositional work has also been featured in the Latino Film Festival, Oxygen Network, BBC Player documentary, BET & an award winning web series titled "12 Steps to Recovery".  Before moving to New York, she lived in London for 3 years working as a private voice and piano teacher at London School of Arts, Cherry Pie music & taught Songwriting workshops for Song Academy UK. She prepared students in the Royal Academy ABRSM grading system program for piano & voice from Grades 1-4. During her time in the UK she also launched her own songwriting company called Flash Your Light Music and is still running the company on a part time basis.  She is currently residing in Brooklyn New York and working as a professional musician, performer, songwriter & music educator.
