Jessica Li is a passionate violinist and dedicated music educator with extensive experience teaching young musicians of all ages and levels. She believes that music education should be fun, engaging, and deeply rewarding, helping each student build both skill and confidence through a supportive and inspiring learning environment.

Jessica has prepared countless students for music recitals, exams, and college auditions, guiding them step by step to reach their full potential. She focuses on developing a strong foundation in technique and musicianship while keeping lessons exciting and age-appropriate. Her students regularly participate in performances and assessments that help them grow as confident, well-rounded musicians.

Beyond the classroom, Jessica maintains an active performance career in the New York City area. She currently performs with ensembles such as the String Orchestra of Brooklyn, Hudson Valley Symphony Orchestra, and Orchestra of the Bronx, where she serves as Assistant Concertmaster. She also performs regularly with the Bronx Opera Orchestra, Ft. Greene Orchestra, and Long Island Concert Orchestra, among others.

Jessica’s dual background as both performer and educator allows her to bring real-world musical experiences into her lessons, helping students understand how their skills connect to the broader world of performance and collaboration.

Born in New York, Jessica began studying violin and piano at a young age and went on to attend the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Division, studying with Jonathan Strasser. She later earned her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Purchase College, where she studied with Calvin Wiersma and Carmit Zori. She has participated in masterclasses with renowned artists such as Ani Kavafian, Soovin Kim, and the Shanghai String Quartet, and performed at festivals including the Decoda Chamber Music Festival and the Maine Chamber Music Seminar.

Today, Jessica combines her rich performance background with her deep commitment to teaching, helping each student discover their own musical voice while preparing them for recitals, auditions, and a lifelong love of music.
