GUITAR TEACHER, PIANO TEACHER
Christopher Gonzalez is a dedicated music educator and accomplished guitarist with a passion
for inspiring the next generation of musicians. He began his musical journey at the age of 15,
exploring the guitar as a hobby before quickly developing a deep connection to music. As his
passion grew, he began performing and collaborating with artists across the New York
metropolitan area. This early exposure to live performance laid the foundation for his
commitment to music as a lifelong pursuit.
Christopher earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from the College of Staten
Island, where he studied jazz guitar under the late Peter Prisco and performed in ensembles such
as the CSI Big Band and Jazz Combo under Professor Michael Morreale. He later obtained a
Master’s in Music Performance from CUNY Hunter College. Professionally, Christopher has
over five years of experience teaching guitar to students of all ages and skill levels. In addition to
his teaching career, he has performed on world stages, including Madison Square Garden, Accor
Arena in Paris, and Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. He has appeared on major television platforms,
such as The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel Live. He continues to tour and
record with Grammy-nominated artists, bringing real-world experience into every lesson he
teaches.
At Music Box School, Christopher brings not only technical expertise in guitar but also a
genuine enthusiasm for music education. His teaching style blends structure with creativity,
encouraging students to develop both skill and confidence in their musical expression. He
believes that music is a powerful force for connection and self-discovery, and he is committed to
helping each student unlock their unique voice through sound.
